Overview

The Electrical Systems Technology curriculum is designed to provide students with the skills and technical background required for entry-level employment in the installation and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems found in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.

Most training is hands-on and includes such topics as AC/DC theory, basic wiring practices, digital electronics, programmable logic controllers, industrial motor controls, and the National Electric Code.

Employment Outlook

Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will qualify for entry-level employment in the electrical/electronics or renewable energy fields.  Specific jobs include entry level positions as an electrician, electronics technician or an electrical/electronics maintenance specialist.

Summer 2017 Curriculum and Continuing Education Schedule

Printed Format

The printed format is a combined schedule for both Curriculum classes and Continuing Education courses available for the Summer 2017 semester. The printed schedule will be available starting the week of March 21 on both campuses. They will also be mailed to over 27,000 homes in both Person and Caswell counties.

The web format is the same as the WebAdvisor format, except all classes are listed alphabetically on one single webpage. For more information on a specific class, please contact the appropriate advisor or you can find additional information within WebAdvisor.

2017 Fall Curriculum Schedule on WebAdvisor

WebAdvisor offers a secure web interface that allows you to access the class schedule on PCC’s Datatel Colleague system. If you are not a current PCC student, you can view the upcoming semester’s class schedule. This allows you to look up course sections and plan out your schedule. If you are a current PCC student, you may register for classes online using the Colleague system. This option provides the most up-to-date information about classes being offered and the number of available seats at the time you view the schedule. Click here to visit WebAdvisor.
