Fall Registration now open at PCC; Extended hours on July 19-20 & 26-27

Interested in taking college classes this fall? The staff at Piedmont Community College is available Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. each week to help you with advising and registration. To make it more accessible for those who are unavailable before 5 p.m., the College staff will be on hand until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, Thursday, July 20, Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27 on both the Person and Caswell County Campuses.

PCC’s Minority Male Mentoring program provides opportunities for success

Sponsored by a grant provided by the North Carolina Community College System’s Minority Male Mentoring (3M) program in 2016-2017, the primary purpose of PCC’s 3M organization is to aid students in building a stronger community through study groups, social programming, and professional development opportunities.

Students from six high schools learned about various PCC programs, toured PCC's two campuses and four local industries, and gained insight about resources available to them for their future educational goals from a local leader.

PCC’s first Siemens Level I class completes training and national exam with 100% pass rate

Students Mark Harrill, Gladys Moore, John David Shaw, and Blake Gentry completed the course, taught by PCC instructor Mike Cobb, and passed the Siemens Level 1 Certification exam. In addition to receiving training in job seeking essentials needed to provide marketable skills for manufacturing technicians in the Mechatronics field and having an opportunity to earn their NC Career Readiness Certificate (CRC), successful completers also have the opportunity to obtain college credit by examination in PCC’s Mechatronics Engineering Technology curriculum program.

National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course offered through PCC
